Removing the Viscous Fan on Land Rovers, Range Rovers and Discoverys can be fraught with difficulty since access to the large retaining nut is impractical with plain spanners and wrenches.
To make matters worse, the large Viscous Fan fitted to these engines is often tightly fitted so a close fitting wrench is vital to apply high force safely.
This super slim Viscous hub spanner is heat treated, tempered and chrome plated for a long life and has a PVC dipped handle for extra comfort.
Its specially cranked design enables it to reach behind the blades of the fan and so release the large retaining nut to free the viscous hub. An essential tool when replacing water pumps or when replacing the timing belt requires water pump removal (200TDI, 2.5 N/A, 2.5TD and 2.4 Puma engines etc).
Please note this Viscous Fan Wrench is NOT suitable for TD5 Diesel engines or late model V8 petrol engines fitted with flat, serpentine drive belts. For TD5 and late model V8 viscous fans with flat, serpentine belts please see our TD5 Viscous Fan Wrench Set
