They say that necessity is the mother of invention and sometimes you look around you and see the ideal solution to a problem you barely knew existed. Well today’s example is a solution to those lengths of pipe and bottles you use to collect the waste brake and clutch fluid when flushing and bleeding your brakes. You know, the ones that are either too big or too small and fall over at the slightest excuse?

The Difflock Drainbag

This bag, available singly or in packs of 10, has about 2 metres of clear pipe that fits tightly over a normal bleed nipple and ends in a clear collection bag capable of holding 2 litres of urine fluid.

It even has a non-return valve (which will fit some bleed nipples or use some extra pipe to run from nipple to valve). This means that you can see whether all bubbles have been expelled from your system without worrying about the fluid going everywhere. Even if the pipe comes loose the fluid is unlikely to spill. Can be reused if very careful when emptying!! (but you do have to cut off the valve)
